Best Stretch Mark Remedies
Every doctor will tell you that there is no real cure for stretch marks, and this is- to some extend- true, considering that stretch marks are scars which are not easily removed (except by expensive treatment such as laser therapy). But there are ways to greatly help diminish the appearance of your stretch marks. Here is a list of the best remedies that are out there.

Stretch Mark Body Scrub
Mix some body scrub with:
a little olive oil
cod liver oil
vitamin E oil/cream
aloe vera gel.
Use this scrub on a regular basis, for best results follow with the next step
- Use stretch mark lotion – this will help make your skin smooth and prevent further stretch marks. Great recipes to mix your own are listed below. For best results massage into the skin in circular motion regularly
Stretch Mark Cream
1/4 cup Cocoa Butter
1 Tbsp. wheat germ oil
1tsp. light sesame seed oil
1tsp. Apricot kernel oil
1tsp. Vitamin E oil
2 tsp. grated beeswax
1 tsp Vanilla extract (optional)
Yield: 3 oz.
Mix together all ingredients except vanilla extract. Heat the mixture gently until the cocoa butter and beeswax have melted. Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract, if desired. Allow to cool completely. Store in a clean jar with a tight fitting lid. Massage into your skin.
Homemade Stretch Mark lotion
1/2 virgin olive oil
1/4 cup aloe vera gel
liquid from 6 capsules of vitamin E
and liquid from 4 capsules of vitamin A
Mix all ingredients using a blender and store the mixture in the refrigerator. For best results use daily
3. Aloe Vera Gel- Aloe Vera has been proven to be helpful for a long list of things, its ingredients are great to help make your skin more elastic and smooth helping to diminish the appearance and prevent new stretch marks.
Apply the gel of a fresh aloe vera plant. Let it dry overnight. Rinse off any residue in the morning.
4. Vitamins and nutrition - Eat lots of nuts and seeds and take zinc and vitamins A, C, D, E, and B-complex as a preventative measure helping you to stay healthy and giving your skin extra elasticity
5. Stay hydrated – Drink lots of water which will also help enhance the elasticity of your skin, thereby preventing the appearance of stretch marks.
6. Exercise regularly - It is the loosening or stretching of skin that causes stretch marks. To tone your body, exercise regularly.
7. Aromatherapy- aromatherapy oils such as a mixture of essential oils such as Mandarin, Geranium, Sweet Almond, Wheat Germ, Borage, & Jojoba have also been proven to be great in the use against stretch marks
8. Other options- if you would like to learn more about other more expensive and/or invasive options you may want to consider Retin- A- Treatment, Microdermabrasion or Laser Treatment.
